Fairtrade Fashion Challenge
As part of Fairtrade Fortnight 2010, we are organising a gala evening at The Elgiva on 4th March, which will include a catwalk show of Fairtrade fashion from ethical retailers...and YOU!
We invite you to take part in our Fairtrade Fashion Challenge. Design and make an outfit using either Fairly-traded fabric or unsaleable garments from Oxfam. We want you to make a new garment from fairly-traded fabric that will be exciting, dynamic and raise the profile of fabrics produced under ethical conditions. Or, take your pick of the unsaleable garments from Oxfam and set tomorrow's trends from today's fashion rejects!
Or you can create jewellery or accessories from broken and discarded items.
The best entries will be modelled at the Fairtrade Fashion Show at The Elgiva on 4th March 2010.
Items of clothes, accessories, jewellery and photos, designs and fabric details must be submitted by 29th January 2010 to the Chesham Oxfam store. The entries must be accompanied by an entry form and must be clearly marked Fairtrade Fashion Challenge for the attention of Gill Walker.
